The appearance of persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous on MR images varies from a well-defined tubular process coursing from the posterior retina to the posterior lens to a triangular “wine glass” shape to an irregular retrolental mass with posterior excrescences. Also noted is T1 hyperintense haemorrhage in the posterior globe in this 2month old infant with leukocoria.
