Another round of applause for Lisa Marie from The Domestication of a Party Girl for being the first to correctly answer this weeks 'Can You Guess This TV Theme?'!

I'm turning 30 on Sunday, so I thought the only appropriate choice for this week's 'Can You Guess This TV Theme?' would be 'thirtysomething'....

I have to be honest.... I didn't watch this show very often. It was filled with adult themes and drama and people being thirty....

I always thought the coolest thing about the show was the creepy Bedford Falls logo and tune at the end of each episode....

The show centered around a group of middle-class suburban grown ups trying to survive their 30's.... They deal with love, children, marriage, divorce, friends and family....

I just remember the show being super dramatic with a few laughs. I know that 'thirtysomething' is supposed to be this sensational generation drama, but I just don't see the appeal.... I've been watching episodes of 'thirtysomething' all night, and I can't get excited about the show.

However, you put an episode of 'Perfect Strangers' in front of me, and I'll do the dance of joy!

Perfect Strangers In Seattle?

Everybody remembers 'Perfect Strangers', right? The lovable Balki Bartokomous and his Cousin Larry Appleton living together in Chicago.... Well, Ian Hugh Fraser and Christopher Bange recreated the show's intro using Seattle, Washington as the backdrop.... We need more of these! I want to see the 'Full House' intro in Baltimore, Maryland! Or the 'Laverne and Shirley' intro in Albuquerque, New Mexico! Ooooooh, or the 'Moonlighting' intro in New York City! Ok, now all of you get an expression of shock on your face and say 'NEW YORK CITY!?!?!' Sorry.... I had to do it....

By the way, did you know that Louie Anderson was cast for the role of Larry Appleton in the original pilot episode? It's true! Look!

Can You Guess This TV Theme? #27 - Answer

After the actor playing Mork gets frustrated and quits during a rehearsal during 'Happy Days', Garry Marshall allegedly sent his casting director to the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles to see a small comic named Jay Leno for the open role. The casting director saw Robin Williams perform and knew he was the person to introduce to Garry Marshall for the role of Mork the alien from Ork.....

Between the ad-libbing and his ability to make everybody laugh during his appearance on 'Happy Days' (I'm surprised 'Happy Days' didn't jump the Ork'), Garry Marshall pitches a Mork spinoff to ABC. ABC gave Marshall a shot, and cast Pam Dawber as Mindy, after seeing her in a shampoo commercial....

Alas, 'Mork and Mindy' was born.... Over four seasons, Mork absorbed Earth's cultures as his partner Mindy stumbled along for the ride....

Did you know that Robin Williams won a "Best TV Actor" Golden Globe for his role a Mork? Or that the house used in the show (still one of the most popular landmarks in Boulder, Colorado), was later used as the house where Larry and Balki settle down with their wives in the show 'Perfect Strangers', and was shown as the house that Myra (Steve Urkel's girlfriend) lived in on the show 'Family Matters'?

I would go into the whole Robin Williams having a cocaine habit, and his friend Jon Belushi's overdose and death cited as the reason Robin Williams quit using drugs (all of which happened during the Mork and Mindy's television run).... But that stuff is just too depressing.... Enjoy today's theme!

Perfect Strangers was that show where a feet-on-the-ground guy from Wisconsin moves to the big city, and ends up taking in his nonsensical cousin who is fresh off the boat from Mypos.

Wait! Don't jump to conclusions! This show was not a one sided coin! Cousin Larry and Balki Batokomous were both able to teach each other a little bit about life throughout the show's 8 season run.

Did you know that Louie Anderson was cast for the role of Larry Appleton in the original pilot episode? Here's a still photo from the pilot. Would the show have been the success it was if Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker weren't the stars?

The likeness of the new bachelor, Prince Lorenzo Borghese, to Balki Bartokomous, or as you may know him, Bronson Pinchot, is incredible. I wonder if Cousin Larry will make a cameo. Did you know that "Perfect Strangers" was on television for eight seasons! For those of you who are old enough to remember "Perfect Strangers", what actress from "Everybody Loves Raymond" was nominated for an Emmy for her role in "Perfect Strangers"?
