Breast Imaging Conference-News

The 29th Annual Breast Imaging Conference 2009
The nearly 200 radiologists, technologists, administrators and allied healthcare professionals who attend the 29th Annual Breast Imaging Conference, held Sept. 14 to 17 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa in Glendale, Ariz., will enjoy an innovative educational program complete with hands-on workshops and challenging presentations. This year’s BIC has new and exciting program additions in-store for attendees. One of these is a full day dedicated to workshops. Monday, Sept. 14 will offer workshops on Digital Mammography and MR Guided Biopsy, as well as two NEW workshops: Ultrasound Guided Biopsy and Hands-On Mammographic Positioning. The workshops will not run concurrently with the conference.

Upon completion of the conference, led by renowned faculty from some of the country’s most respected medical institutions, participants will be able to:

· Describe the identification and management of patients at high risk for breast cancer
· Understand the current state of breast MRI and ultrasound for screening
· Understand the technical aspects and utilization of digital mammography and CAD
· Understand the evolving role of technologists in mammography, ultrasound and MRI
