The Blueprint

I don't have a wide breadth of knowledge about hip hop, let alone music in general, but Jay-Z is amazing. He's releasing a new album, The Blueprint 3, on September 11, 2009. To promote his new album and Rhapsody Music, Jay-Z made a commercial in which he flawlessly recreates the poses from his previous ten album covers. It's very creative.

I hope I'm not damaging my cred with my west coast crew by giving mad props to an east coast rapper.

Apparently I've been out of the rap game for too long....

Are we really worried that corporate (the white man) is causing hip hoppers to sell out and promote their culture's negative stereotypes?

Unfortunately, the ditty NAS and Nick Cannon created to combat the racist tyranny of the corporate monster is really catchy.... And really makes me want to eat watermelon.... They're right, it is good!
