All Together Now

I'm a little late to the game with this, but I love this commercial! Budweiser hired advertising agency DDB UK to create a commercial to promote their product in the United Kingdom (probably to try to take a little bit of the market share from Guinness)....

The commercial is set to the Beatles song, “All Together Now,” covered by the band The Hours. It reportedly took the Beatles less than six hours (all in one day) to record "All Together Now" at Abbey Road Studios in London

The filming of this commercial took director Chris Palmer and his crew more than 50 hours over 5 days.... With all the film being shot from an elevated train circling downtown Chicago.... Try to see if you can spot all the visualized lyrics. I didn't see the 'C' or the 'H' the first time I watched the video....

The Beatles

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two remaining members of "The Beatles", will be performing at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 4th, 2009. This will be the first reunion of the remaining Beatles since 2002.

Tickets for the show allegedly sold out in nine seconds.

The concert will raise funds for "The David Lynch Foundation" promoting Transcendental Meditation in schools. NOT A JOKE.

Carnival of Light

Sir Paul McCartney has said that he wants to release a long lost Beatles song. The song is called "Carnival of Light" and was recorded in January of 1967. It's a fourteen minutes experimental song that includes distorted hypnotic drum and organ sounds, a distorted lead guitar, a track of spooky church organ, someone gargling, weird sound effects, a tambourine playing, and John Lennon and Paul McCartney screaming random phrases like "ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" and "BARCELONA!".

Look, don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Beatles, but we don't need to hear everything that they put on tape!

My only consolation is knowing that Colleen loves the Jonas Brothers cover of The Beatles song "Hello Goodbye" that is played in the Target commercials. So, if you get Colleen in the Pollyanna, don't forget, Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers CD's are sold everywhere!
