Ellen DeGeneres Loves The Planet

I loooooove Ellen DeGeneres.... Even though she did steal away my sweet Portia....

Anyway, my wife and I were watching the 'Ellen' Show, just as Ellen was talking about how she was a category on 'Family Feud'.... I'm so glad that somebody posted this on YouTube! It's so funny!

We Have Nothing To Fear

Gay marriage was voted down in the New York Senate this afternoon with a vote of 38 to 24, as New York state lawmakers rejected a bill that would have made same-sex marriage legal in the state of New York. Senator Diane Savino of Staten Island gave a wonderfully eloquent speech on the floor of the Senate in support of the Marriage Equality bill. Why do we support the mockery of the sanctity of marriage with shows like 'The Bachelor' or 'The Bachelorette', yet we can't support a man loving a man or a woman loving a woman? What are we afraid of?

Hubby Hubby

Yesterday, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream announced that they will be temporarily changing the name of the famous "Chubby Hubby" ice cream to "Hubby Hubby" to celebrate the legalization of gay marriage in Vermont.

In addition, Ben & Jerry’s and Freedom to Marry will be publicly supporting the first marriages of gay and lesbian couples in Vermont and raising awareness for marriage equality and how to take action by driving consumers to freedomtomarry.org.

Do you think the intentionally chose an ice cream that's "packed with fudge"?

How many right wing politicians will be ordering a "Hubby Hubby" sundae in a rest stop bathroom stall?

Ok, that's all I'm giving you.... I have a lot more.... But they're very inappropriate....

Seriously California, just make gay marriage legal. If we really want to "protect the sanctity of marriage", let's make divorce illegal. I can't hear one more person say, "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!".

R.I.M. Job

The National Organization for Marriage created this public service announcement. Who are we to say that other people can't get married? Here it is.... It's not my opinion, it promotes discrimination, you'll see why it's in the post later....

A sketch group put together a parody video of the National Organization for Marriage's "Gathering Storm" video. It's very funny.... Take a look...

Apology

My sweet Portia De Rossi made a public service announcement that aired on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" apologizing to supporters of Proposition 8 for their struggles and how her marriage to Ellen Degeneres has affected their lives.....

You don't have to apologize to me Portia.... I love you too.....
