Toyz Noize Is The Bees Knees

I know I post about this guy too much, but love the videos he makes! I posted the 'Hook', 'Up', 'Terminator 2' and 'Gardyn' remixes from from Fagottron and POGO here at 'I Think It's Interesting' here before.... (Hint: Click the names of the previous remixes to see those posts....)

In this new video, he takes video and sounds from 'Toy Story' and adds a few extra cymbals and a sine wave bass (I'm not sure what a sine wave bass is, but is sounds cool) to make another amazing remix. Just in time, as Disney Pixar's 'Toy Story 3' opens in theaters this weekend!

This man is ridiculously talented, and I highly recommend you check out all his videos!

Unexpected Art In Unexpected Places

One of the perks of my job is that I get to satisfy my voyeuristic cravings..... I get to enter people's homes and see how they live..... Occasionally, I even run across famous people during my inspections (e.g. Don Doolittle).

I was recently inspecting a senior community in Long Beach, California and saw some art that I did not expect to see..... The tenant was an elderly Korean man who lives by himself in a small studio apartment and his walls were adorned with his drawings. He doesn't sell the drawings, or even exhibit his drawings outside of his apartment. He did not speak a lot of english, but he was able to communicate the names of the people he had drawn, and he made sure that he told me who was in each drawing. Each. And. Every. One. It was a lot of 'This Tum Hunks' and 'This Dusty Hoof-A-Man'.

He allowed me to take some pictures of his art, and now I get to share them with you.... But I'll spare you the identification of each portrait. (By the way, you can enlarge the photos by clicking on them....)

The Fun Theory

Have you seen 'Big' with Tom Hanks, and the scene where Tom Hanks rocks out and plays 'Heart and Soul' on the over sized floor piano? In an ad campaign, titled 'The Fun Theory', Volkswagen installed a 'stair piano' right next to an escalator in a subway station in Stockholm, Sweden. Volkswagen installed the 'stair piano' to see if adding a little fun to the stairs will encourage the subway travelers to use the stairs rather than the escalator, promoting fun and exercise.

Volkswagen says 66% more people used the stairs after the piano was installed..... I like this marketing idea almost as much as I liked the Saturn commercials that encouraged Saturn owners to wave at each other.

Can You Guess This TV Theme? #10 - Answer

Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari play Kip Wilson and Henry Desmond who play Buffy and Hildegarde in 'Bosom Buddies'.

The theme to the show was Billy Joel's "My Life". The show was really funny! Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari have great chemistry, however, they're not attractive women.

And how can you lose with Tom Hanks? The man can do drama, the man can do comedy... And he's one of the most loved and most successful men in Hollywood. He can't lose!

How do you think that pitch meeting went? 'Ok, I have an idea for a show.... There's these two guys, their apartment is destroyed... So they have to get another affordable apartment.... But the only way they can do that, get this, you're gonna laugh, they have to dress as women because it's an all female building. Wait.... It gets better! None of the women in the building will be able to figure out that the two characters are men in women's clothing. Just to put the icing on the cake... We have two unknown actors for the lead roles!'
