Can You Guess This TV Theme? #33 - Answer

They knew everything about everything when it came to academics, he was there to teach them lessons about life....

'Head Of The Class' focused on substitute history teacher Charlie Moore, played by Howard Hesseman of WKRP fame, and the diverse group of students in the Individualized Honors Program at Millard Fillmore High School.

The students in the IHP program included Robin Givens as speech and debate expert Darlene (pre- and post
-Mike Tyson), Dan Frischman as mathematics expert Arvid, Khrystyne Haje as literature expert Simone, Tony O'Dell as political science expert Alan, Brian Robbins as leather jacket wearing and wisecracking Eric (currently an executive producer of Smallville), Sarah Nevins as Kimberly, Dan Schneider as physics and chemistry expert Dennis, and Tannis Vallely as 12 year old expert at everything Janice.

Did you know that 'Head Of The
Class' is the first American sitcom to be filmed in the Soviet Union? Filmed in Moscow, the episode featured an Academic Olympics rematch with the Russian team.... SPOILER ALERT - USA WINS!!!! Sorry for ruining that for you....

There were two important late additions to the show, in the final season of the show, Scottish comedian Billy Connolly replaced Howard Hesseman as the teacher.

And the most important addition, and in my honest opinion, the reason that 'Head Of The Class' should still be on the air.... T
he addition of Jonathan Ke Quan as student Jasper Kwong! You may know him as 'Short Round' from the Indiana Jones films and 'Data' from 'Goonies'!!!!!

Can You Guess This TV Theme? #32 - Answer

Congratulations to TS Hendrick over at The Non-Review! I though I had everybody stumped this week, but he and his brother teamed up to guess this week's TV theme....

I have to be honest.... I have never seen 'The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.' show. However, I did spend the last 5 minutes reading about th
e show, and I can tell you that it sounds like the worst show ever (It's a western where the cowboy's use futuristic gadgets and fight a bad guy from the future).... However, it was created by Carlton Cuse, the executive producer of a little show called 'LOST'....

Here's a summary of the plot....

'Harvard Law Graduate Brisco County, Jr. searches for the members of the infamous John Bly gang, the same men who killed his father. Along the way, he encounters mysterious golden orbs with strange abilities and colorful characters who help or hinder his mission as he hunts down the Bly gang one by one.'

Not only was the theme used for 'The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.' show, the theme is used by NBC during the Olympics as the intro music when they introduce the upcoming events! GO USA!

The Flying Tomato Turns Into Ketchup

Did you guys watch Celebrity Fit Club last night? Oh my goodness! Nobody told Shar Jackson that Kevin Federline was going to be on the show! It was so good! I can't wait for next weeks episode!

Back to the topic at hand..... On a practice run at the Winter X Games, his last event before the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, U.S. Olympic Snowboarder Shaun White attempts a couple flips and twists above the superpipe and ends up smashing his face on the side of the pipe.... His helmet, which Shaun White says was tightly strapped on, flies off of his head as he hits the solid ice.... That same night, after his crash, Shaun completes his first run with the highest score of the competition and ends up winning the gold medal.

Take That Dallas Cowboys

Damn it! Chicago is now out of the running to host the Olympic games in 2016! Maybe they'd have had a different opinion if America had a few fans like this.... All we'd do is the stupid wave.... Maybe Jerry Jones can install them in Cowboys Stadium.

A Very Timely Olympics Blog!

The Olympics have come to a close, and now Michael Phelps is sponsoring every item in the world!

However, I have a proposal! Michael Phelps and I have a great deal in common, and I am far cheaper to hire as a pitchman. True, I am not much of a swimmer and have not even won one gold medal, but we are practically twins when it comes to training.

At least the eating part. The New York Post broke down what Phelps ate every day during the Olympic Summer Games.

"Swimming sensation Michael Phelps has an Olympic recipe for success - and it involves eating a staggering 12,000 calories a day.

"Eat, sleep and swim. That's all I can do," Phelps told NBC when asked what he needs to win medals. "Get some calories into my system and try to recover the best I can."

By comparison, the average man of the same age needs to ingest about 2,000 calories a day.

Phelps, 23, will swim 17 times over nine days of competition at the Beijing Games - meaning that he will need all the calories he can shovel in his mouth in order to keep his energy levels high.

Phelps' diet - which involves ingesting 4,000 calories every time he sits down for a meal - resembles that of a reckless overeater rather than an Olympian.

Phelps lends a new spin to the phrase 'Breakfast of Champions' by starting off his day by eating three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise.

He follows that up with two cups of coffee, a five-egg omelet, a bowl of grits, three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar and three chocolate-chip pancakes.

At lunch, Phelps gobbles up a pound of enriched pasta and two large ham and cheese sandwiches slathered with mayo on white bread - capping off the meal by chugging about 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks.

For dinner, Phelps really loads up on the carbs - what he needs to give him plenty of energy for his five-hours-a-day, six-days-a-week regimen - with a pound of pasta and an entire pizza. He washes all that down with another 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks."

Me too! And, by the way, I have that same body that Michael is forcing you to look at above. I just don't feel the need to walk around on TV all day with no shirt on. What a show-off!
