Konami Code

If you're a video game nerd who grew up in the 80's like I am, you've played "Contra" for the Nintendo Entertainment System? It was one of the best games ever created by the Konami Company. You start the game with only three lives, however, if you enter a secret code during the title screen, you start the game with 30 lives. This code, known as the Konami Code, makes the game much easier..... It goes a little something like this....

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A

Apparently, there are many sites on the internet where you can enter the Konami Code to see special effects appear on the screen. If you enter the code while on Facebook, followed by Enter, a photo lens flare appears anywhere you click or type.... It's totally unnecessary, but I can't stop finding out what entering the code does to other sites..... There's a full list of sites where the Konami Code is known to work at KonamiCodeSites.com....
